To continue our discussion on what questions should be asked to applicants applying for a managerial level position, we will now focus specifically on behavioral management questions.
-How would your subordinates describe you?
-What do you believe are your strengths and weaknesses?
-How do you address under performing workers?
-In your own opinion, describe your management style.
-What is your philosophy in management?
-How could you improve the company if you were hired as a unit or division manager?
-Have you conducted periodic performance evaluations of your subordinates during your past employments?
-Have you ever changed a worker’s shift? How did you tell him or her so as not to make a negative impression on the worker?
-How did you develop a harmonious relationship with your subordinates?
-As a manager, you must exercise being a leader. How did you do this when you were still a supervisor?
So, as a recruiter, are you now equipped to interview an applicant applying for managerial level position?
