Applicants who are applying for a supervisory position in a call center need to particularly have leadership skills to constantly stimulate the agents in his or her team to strive for excellence when it comes to delivering quality customer service. Supervisors must also have good judgement when dealing with customers who have special needs that can’t be handled by an ordinary call center agent.
So it is necessary to ask specific sets of questions when interviewing applicants for a supervisory position to make sure he or she can live up to the tasks.
The following are some suggested interview questions:
-What do you expect from the job?
-How ready are you to lead a large team? Talk about your past experiences when leading a team.
-What will be your main goals when leading your team?
-What is the largest customer base you have dealt with in the past?
-Can you harmoniously work with other supervisors including the call center managers and directors?
-Did you have to deliver reports to your subordinates during your past employments as a supervisor? If so, what kind of reports were they?
-Do you have excellent knowledge on all the tools used by our center?
-How well do you work under pressure? Give me an example of a time when you had to work under pressure and had to deliver what was asked from you.
-Are you comfortable receiving instructions? Giving them?
-Did you receive any awards or outstanding quality reports either as a supervisor or as an agent at any of your past employments at a call center?
