Call center clients are usually players in the service-oriented industry. In other words, customers of that industry are often redirected to the call center. Thus, call center agents must possess exceptional customer service skills since they are hired for this very reason.
The following are some suggested questions for call center applicants regarding customer service skills:
-How do you handle irate customers? Give me a specific example from a past employment where you had to deal with an irate customer and how you overcame the challenge.
-Can you describe the outcome of such call?
-Has a caller ever demanded to speak to your supervisor?
-When you had a caller who could not understand your instructions, what did you do?
-Have you ever disconnected an irate customer’s call?
-Was there ever a time that you were not able to help a customer’s problem?
-Have you ever gone the “extra mile “for a customer? If so, explain the situation.
-Have you ever asked assistance from your team leader or from a colleague who’s on a break or not taking calls for a problem you couldn’t resolve yourself?
Did those questions help you formulate your list?
