The word psychometric emanates from two Greek words – mental for psycho and measurement for metric. Psychometric testing is normal procedure in any workplace. But with the advent of digital technology, psychometric testing today is digitized as well.
To know more about psychometric testing, we must first understand what it is all about. Psychometric testing objectively measures certain aspects of an applicant’s mental state and character. Other things that can be discovered in psychometric testing are measuring one’s intelligence and how well the person can handle stress.
Just like reference checking and having a fresh round of medical examination, it is part of the recruitment process. Once an applicant has passed the first round of interviews and written exams, he or she is allowed to undergo psychometric testing.
