I was listening to a consultant in the recruiting field the other day during a best practices HR seminar. And he said something that struck with me for both us at VidCruiter and all other clients we deal with.
Your entire HR department and even your entire organization if possible should be able to list in a second the TOP 3 REASONS people work for your organization and Money should not be one of them.
Why should money not be one of them? Because at any time in the market there is always someone who pays more than you do for the exact same job. So why are people still working for you? Do you even know? …. You should… Why?
Well those should be the points you bring up during your interviews, or if you are using our technology during the first impression video on the application form.
Tell everyone why you rock.
And how do you figure this out? Simple, ask your current staff who have been working for you for a long time. They probably thought about quitting and they would tell you why you rock.
